In the heart of Bauges’ Mountains Natural Regional Parc, the new primary school and restaurant building settles in a village that enjoys a large view over Bourget’s clear water lake to the West and Mount Revard to the East.
This remarquable panorama represents one of the project strongest axis and instinctively led toward a fan-shape building. The site shows a 16% continuous slope where the compact project nestle, following natural contour lines in order to preserve the ground. The wood -from which prefabriquated frameworks and walls has been built- has been choosen as a local sustainable material provided by local companies with savoir-faire.
